“ECHOES FROM THE PAST”
On Saturday October 20th, Clowne are hosting a praise evening on the theme of the “Sankey” era with hymns and songs taken from the Sankey Songbook featuring all the well known hymn-makers. Everyone is welcome. There will be an offering during the evening.
The praise event will be preceded by a tea in the schoolroom (tea is ticket only). The food offered will reflect the times when Sankey and his friends were writing their hymns and songs.
Further details will be sent to each church nearer the time.
To help with the general atmosphere guests are urged to enter the fun of things and come dressed in costume of the era (you don’t have to go to too much trouble – a long skirt and top and shawl will suffice – don’t forget the hat).
Please ring Barbara Rogers on 01246 811214 for further details.
